I discovered Part 4 of a series called Monitor to Print Matching on Scott Bourne’s Photofocus. This is a really well laid out series that details the process of making prints that match your monitor from soup to nuts.  It begins with the beginning,  Choosing the Right Proofing Light. This is a really good place to start.  Because no matter how precise your monitor and printer profiles are the light in which you view the print to evaluate the match is a vital component in the workflow.

Part 2 addresses Using a Standard Test Image. This post deals with using a 21 step neutral density wedge to evaluate the match. And Part 3 discusses Fast and Affordable Print Testing. You’ll find links to other interesting articles embedded in these posts as well.
