  1. BobB says:

It would be great to have scanner profiling added to ColorMunki too!

Is this on the roadmap? How about a Windows 8 version of ColorMunki?

    Thanks!

    • Brenda K. Hipsher says:

Thanks for your comment Bob. We appreciate your input.

There are no plans for adding scanner profiling to the ColorMunki Photo. The ColorMunki family is generally designed for folks who really want the wizard driven, easy to use solutions. The i1 family includes the solutions with a more robust feature set.

ColorMunki Photo software is tested with Windows 8 and fully compatible.
Thank you again for reading the blog and for your comment!

  2. Quick question. If I have an i1 Display, will I be able to do scanner profiling? Thanks.

    • Brenda K. Hipsher says:

Scanner profiling is available with with i1Photo Pro, i1Photo Pro 2, i1Publish Pro, i1Publish Pro 2, and i1Publish software upgrades. The i1Display Pro offers monitor and projector profiling but does not offer printer or scanner profiling.
Thanks so much for reading the X-Rite Photo blog and for taking the time to comment.

  3. Chuck Mintz says:

This is a nice and appreciated addition. What would be really great would be a way to handle negative film. Many scanners run on old software that does not accommodate contemporary film. Something that would allow you to photograph a color checker with your film and create an output profile would be very cool. Would not be perfect but might be better than what we have.

    • Brenda K. Hipsher says:

That’s an interesting thought Chuck! I’ll pass that along to the development team!
      Thanks for your comment.
