X-Rite ColorChecker Video Workflow with Final Cut

We love seeing tutorials that quickly show X-Rite products in conjunction with a powerful editing software. In the video tutorial independent filmmaker and X-Rite Coloratti Ollie Kenchington will help you understand how to use the ColorChecker Video charts to drastically improve the quality of your rushes, getting ideal balance and color consistency, as well as matching footage from multiple cameras.

On Set

He will start out by giving tips on how to White Balance onset using the X-Rite charts. Next, Ollie discusses exactly how to use and where to place the focusing and color charts in your scene.

In Edit

Finally, he moves into Final Cut Pro X to discuss how to get perfect skin tones, a balanced image, and great saturation. The tools covered in this section include waveforms, color masks, our RGB parade, and vector scopes.
