Coloratti Photos of the Week – November 2019 location shots
by Alexandra Ilie – November 29th, 2019
This month we wanted to feature photos that our Coloratti took in some spectacular locations. Choosing the right location for a shoot is one of the most important concerns when it comes to creating beautiful, professional results, especially when it’s for a client.
Sanjay Jogia – Venice
Locations determine the lighting, backdrop and tone of any photoshoot. Ensuring that you have selected locations that will be of greater benefit is an issue no photographer can afford to overlook.
A photographer who knows how to use spectacular locations to his advantage and his clients’ is our very own Coloratti Sanjay Jogia.
This month’s featured photo was taken in the lovely and sadly now flooded Venice.
Venice is known around the world for its canals that make and excellent backdrop for wedding photos because you can take photos on the city’s many gondolas or on the many bridges. So if you’re looking for the perfect destination for your wedding, Italy might just be it!
There are generally two approaches to landscape photography. The first is to just turn up and just shoot what you see as you notice it. It’s a somewhat haphazard, but very therapeutic way of shooting landscapes. The second approach is that of planning ahead. Neither method is better than the other, and both are equally valid. If you want to plan ahead, though, location scouting is vital.
Our featured Coloratti Photos of The Week by Francesco De Marco is the perfect example of how location and the correct time of day can help achieve amazing results.
Proper planning and a better understanding of the locations that will best fit your needs can be just as important as equipment selection. A poor choice of setting and environment could be limiting your results in ways you may not even realise.
It will come as no surprise to anyone that Paris is amongst the most photographed cities in the world.
